About us
More than half a century of experience
Chimboy District Technical College was founded in 1957 and has been training skilled specialists for the district for nearly seven decades. The college has a 600-seat academic building, a 70-bed dormitory, a 150-seat assembly hall, and a training and production workshop for 180 students. The grounds cover 7.2 hectares.
Classes are held in modern classrooms, and hands-on training gives students real workplace experience. The college also runs foreign-language clubs, sports teams, and creative arts groups.

Study programs
13 programs — 13 professions
The college trains specialists through initial, secondary, and specialized secondary vocational education programs corresponding to levels 3–5 of the National Qualifications Framework. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, admission is also open to graduates of general secondary education (grade 11).
Automotive service
Diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of vehicle engines and chassis.
Graphics and design technology
Computer graphics, visual design, and work with modern design software.
Land reclamation machinery operator
Operating and maintaining the land reclamation machinery that agriculture depends on.
Metalworking
Manufacturing metal products, welding, and machine-tool skills.
Fashion and garment manufacturing technology
Clothing design, sewing, and work with modern garment equipment.
Culinary arts
Preparing traditional and contemporary dishes and running a professional kitchen.
Firefighting
Fire safety, rescue operations, and emergency response.
Digital information processing specialist
Working with data on a computer, office software, and digital services.
Digital and smart home appliance service
Diagnosing and repairing modern household and smart devices.
Jewelry making
Creating jewelry rooted in ancient traditions — a profession newly introduced at the college.
Industrial training (by sector)
Preparing future industrial training instructors for manufacturing sectors. Open to grade 11 graduates starting in the 2026/2027 academic year.
Library science
Managing library collections, information resources, and reader services. For grade 11 graduates; state-grant and fee-based places.
Restaurant and catering service
Restaurant management and guest service — a dual (work-study) program for grade 11 graduates.
History
From 1957 to the present day
Over its history, the college has evolved through several transformations to become a modern vocational education institution.
- 1957
Founded as the Chimboy School of Agricultural Mechanization, offering four trades.
- 1978
Reorganized as the Chimboy Agricultural Secondary Vocational School (SSPTU-28).
- 1992
Converted into the Chimboy Agricultural Lyceum.
- 1996
Renamed the Chimboy Vocational Lyceum.
- 2003
Reorganized as the Chimboy College of Construction and Municipal Services.
- 2015
Refocused as the Chimboy College of Construction and Service.
- 2019
Transformed into the Chimboy District Vocational Training School by Presidential Decree UP-5812.
- 2024
Transformed into the Chimboy District Polytechnic by Presidential Decree UP-158.
- 2025
Renamed the Chimboy District Technical College by Presidential Decree UP-190.
Campus and facilities
Everything students need
In recent years the college buildings have been renovated and the grounds landscaped with 300 mulberry trees and more than 200 fruit trees. Under the Open Budget initiative, a driver training course for category B and C licenses has been built, and the building facades are being updated.

Our students and teachers succeed at the district and national levels.
Early university admission
In 2026, five of our students scored the maximum 189 points and earned early admission to the universities of their choice. One of them was admitted to a diplomacy program.

National chess champion
At the national stage of the Barkamol Avlod sports games, our student Bekmurat Toremuratov took first place in chess (2024).
Success in IT
In November 2024, our student Alpamys Janabaev won first place in information technology at the TUIT Rector's Cup.
Winners of the district stage of the foreign-language olympiad went on to compete at the national stage.
Our teachers hold international B2 and C1 language certificates and state-awarded teaching qualifications.
The sewing and carpentry workshops produce goods to order for the local community.

Admission
Apply to the college
Applications are submitted online through the my.edu.uz platform every July. For grade 9 graduates, tuition is fully covered by a state grant.
Who can apply?
Graduates of grade 9 are admitted on a state-grant basis. For programs open to grade 11 graduates (general secondary education), both state-grant and fee-based (contract) places are available.
What credential do graduates receive?
Graduates receive a state-recognized diploma corresponding to levels 3–5 of the National Qualifications Framework.
Is there a dormitory?
A 70-bed dormitory is available for students from rural areas.
